Wedged between mountains and two great rivers, Chongqing had nowhere to grow but up — and sideways, and through itself. Step off a street and you may be on the 1st floor, or the 22nd. A light-rail train slices clean through a residential tower. At night, the cliffside stilt-house complex of Hongya Cave lights up like a scene from Spirited Away.
Every Anjia itinerary is built around private, insider access to the icons below — timed to beat the crowds and catch the neon.

An 11-storey stilt-house complex glowing gold against the cliff — the most photographed night view in China.

Watch (and ride) a light-rail line slice straight through floors 6–8 of a 19-storey apartment block. Pure 8D.

Glide between the Yangtze and Jialing as the entire neon skyline ignites around you, including the Raffles City "Crystal" skybridge.

The original numbing-spicy Chongqing hotpot, served at a private terrace overlooking Hongya Cave.

Otherworldly karst canyons and giant stone arches — the filming location for Transformers: Age of Extinction and Zhang Yimou's Curse of the Golden Flower.

Thousands of cliff-face Buddhist sculptures carved over 1,000 years — serene counterpoint to the neon.
A private trip should feel calm before it feels spectacular. We keep the planning simple, specific and handled by one real person.
Dates, group size, pace, hotel style and what pulled you toward Chongqing.
Your designer sends a clear itinerary with guide, vehicle, hotels, tickets and sample price.
A licensed local guide and driver meet you on arrival — insiders who know which alley, rooftop and hour catch the best neon. Our Chongqing ground team stays reachable 24 hours for in-trip questions, weather changes and urgent adjustments.
Every journey is quoted in full and in writing before you commit — so there are no surprises on the ground.
“Our Chongqing trip has wrapped up. Thank you to Yang for driving us safely the whole way — rock-steady at the wheel, so we felt at ease and comfortable from start to finish. Your care and attention turned the trip into a real pleasure, with lovely surprises along the way. Thank you, and take care!”
“The service was very attentive and met all our requirements; highly recommended.”
“Our driver, Hong Mei, was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout our trip. When some of us experienced stomach discomfort, she went above and beyond by providing Chinese medicine and checking in on us to make sure we were feeling better. Her care, warmth, and attentiveness made us feel truly looked after, and we are so grateful for her help. She wasn't just our driver — she became someone who genuinely cared for our well-being and made our journey even more memorable.”
China has quietly become one of the easiest large countries to enter. For most of our guests it now takes a passport and a plane ticket — nothing to queue for, nothing to be stamped in advance.
China and Singapore waived visas for each other in February 2024, China and Malaysia in July 2025. These are treaties between the two governments rather than trial schemes, so there is no expiry date hanging over your plans.
The UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, Korea, Brazil and most of Europe enter visa-free for up to 30 days under China's unilateral policy, currently set to run until 31 December 2026. The United States is not on that list, so US passport holders do still need a visa.
55 nationalities holding a confirmed onward ticket to a third country can clear immigration at Chongqing Jiangbei Terminal 3 with no visa at all and stay up to 240 hours — ten full days, which is a real trip rather than a layover.
Rules move. Tell us which passport you hold and we will check it against the current policy before you book — and say so plainly if you do need a visa. Last verified 15 July 2026.
A modest deposit confirms your dates and lets us pre-book guides, hotels and tickets. The balance is settled in person in China after you arrive and sign your written tour contract. The exact terms are confirmed in your written proposal.
Spring (Mar–May) and autumn (Sep–Nov) are ideal — mild and clear. Summers are famously hot, so we shift sightseeing to evenings and indoor icons. The neon night views are spectacular year-round.
Absolutely — it's our speciality. Chongqing connects by high-speed rail and cruise to the Avatar mountains of Zhangjiajie, the panda bases of Chengdu, and Three Gorges Yangtze cruises. See our Chongqing to Zhangjiajie rail guide, or ask us to build a custom multi-city route.
Very. Private guiding removes the language and logistics stress entirely, and we tailor the walking, timing and food (including non-spicy options) to your group — from couples to multi-generation families.
Send us your rough dates and party size via the contact form or WhatsApp. Your 1-on-1 designer replies with ideas and an indicative quote — within 2 hours, 8:00–20:00 Beijing time. There's no fee to plan.
Tell us when you'd travel and what excites you. Your private journey through cyberpunk China starts with one message.
